The northern hemisphere is dark and cold in the month of February, and many Europeans, as well as Americans and Canadians, are longing for warmer temperatures and sunshine. 

These 15 places have a minimum temperature of 20 degrees (68°F) with plenty of sunshine and little to no rain during the month of February.

Boracay

The Phillippines is a large island nation in Asia and Boracay is one of the most beautiful islands. February also happens to be one of the best periods to visit Boracay as the sun is shining and there is little to no rain. 

With temperatures averaging at 27-30 °C, it’s neither too cold or too warm. The sea temperature is nice as well with an average of 27 °C.

Dominican Republic

If you’re American or Canadian and want to escape the cold and darkness, the Dominican Republic is one of the best places to go where it’s warm and sunny in February.

Thailand is one of the most popular winter destinations in the world, and while February is one of the busiest periods, one can’t simply deny the beauty of the islands in Thailand. 

This time of the year sees little no rain all over the country, and if you’re visiting Phuket or Krabi it’s typically the month with least rainfall.

Phu Quoc

Although February is one of the busiest periods in Phu Quoc, it’s also one of the best months to visit. If you want to travel to an island where it’s hot in February, Phu Quoc is a great choice with paradise beaches, pleasant temperatures between 27-30 °C with little to no rain.

Isla Holbox

Isla Holbox is one of my favorite destinations in Mexico, and while all the Yucatan Peninsula, as well as Cabo San Lucas, have pleasant temperatures in February, I want to recommend this particular island, which is located north of Cancun. 

It’s not one of the hottest months, but it’s generally dry and the average temperature is around 27 °C and 24 °C in the water.

No matter if you want to explore the beaches of Varadero or the many smaller islands, or wander the historic streets of Havana, you can expect a pleasant climate and weather with little to no rain.

Maldives

The Maldives is renowned for its overwater villa bungalows, paradise beaches, and romantic packages fit for the most luxurious and dreamy honeymoon. And February is one of the best months to travel to the Maldives with temperatures around 28 °C and little to no rain. 

Although Maldivian luxury resorts require a larger budget, there are also local islands that can be visited on a budget. I recommend Kandolhu if you’re planning a honeymoon or want a romantic getaway with your partner.

Gran Canaria

While Las Palmas, the capital of Gran Canaria typically sees colder temperatures and more rain in this time of the year, the southern tourist towns of Maspalomas and further south generally have pleasant weathers with plenty of sunshine. 

Typically, the temperature will range from 20-25 °C and Puerto Rico and Amadores usually have the sunniest days.

Compared to the other Canary Islands, the south of Gran Canaria is generally warmer in February, and it’s one of the few destinations within the European Union that have temperatures over 20 °C in this time of the year.

Compared to other winter months, precipitation levels are at its lowest in February on the Hawaiian island Oahu. With average temperatures of 25-27 °C, it’s a pleasant destination to travel to if you want to get some sun without leaving the U.S.

The average temperature is somewhere around 20 degrees Celcius in Miami this time of the year with highs of 24°C and sea temperature around 24°C. It’s one of the few places in the continental U.S where it’s hot in February and the sun is shining with little to no rain.
