Want to find the best photo spots in Mykonos? It’s a popular destination for luxury travelers as well as Photographers and Social Media Influencers and there are plenty of amazing photo opportunities.
Here’s a list of the most instagrammable places on the island with location info!
Christine and I visited Mykonos earlier this summer, and it was our first time on this iconic island where we’ve seen picture-perfect postcards from Mykonos since we first fell in love with traveling around the Greek islands.
Most Instagrammers and photographers only tag “Mykonos” as location, so it took some research to find the best photo spots in Mykonos, and we also discovered some hidden gems while exploring Mykonos town!
Scandinavian Bar alley
If you have Scandinavian Bar in front of you, turn right and you will come to this lovely alley with blue and red colors. It was one of the “new” Instagram spots in Mykonos that we discovered while strolling around.

Kastro’s Alley
This is one of the most famous Instagram spots in Mykonos, and you can easily find it by entering “Kastro’s” in Google Maps. It’s located near the Paraportiani Church. It’s a restaurant where you can have lunch or something to drink.
For some reason, it was empty every time we walked by, but it’s very picturesque with the oceanview in the background.

The Chora Shop
This is one of my favorite photo spots in Mykonos, and it can be a bit tricky to find. The shop is called Decor Mykonos Chora Art Home & Design, and it’s located in the old town.
We came here in the afternoon, and there was just 1 group of other people taking pictures here. It also looks nicer when the store is open, so come here some time in the afternoon/evening.

It’s located at the address – Kouzi Georgoulis 40.
Salt & Sugar
This restaurant is located at the end of Matoyianni street, and it’s quite a picturesque spot.

This cute little church with flags is located next to the Heel store in Mykonos, and it’s called Panahrantos. You can take photos here from several angles, and you can come here almost any time of the day since it’s not one of the most popular photo spots in Mykonos.
Cavo Tagoo Mykonos
A list with photo spots in Mykonos wouldn’t be complete without one of the most instagrammable hotels in the world, the Cavo Tagoo Mykonos, which has become famous for its cave pool and various photogenic places throughout their facilities.

More about the Photo spots in Mykonos
Many of the most famous Instagram spots in Mykonos are crowded during the days, not only of Instagrammers but also other tourists, especially cruise passengers during the summer months. If you have some patience you can take photos almost any time during the day, however, some photo spots in Mykonos will have ugly shadows and light in the middle of the day, so it’s best to take pictures during the golden hour in the morning or evening.
A photo hack for Mykonos which me and Christine did was that we just walked passed the sunset from the Little Venice, and when we saw the crowds watching the sunset, we figured that we would walk around town and take pictures instead, and most of the streets were empty with perfect light.
If you want to get iconic photos with alleys and colorful doors, you must walk around Mykonos town in the morning before the shops open because it will look totally different during the day.
We didn’t know this so the first 30 minutes we walked around a bit confused that we didn’t manage to find any of the “iconic” alleys with colorful doors, but then we realized that they were everywhere but that you can only get those photos in the morning.
This also means that it’s best to stay at a hotel in Mykonos town if you want to enjoy some of the best photo spots in Mykonos.
