Makronissos Beach in Ayia Napa – How to get there and more info

Want to visit Makronissos Beach in Ayia Napa? It’s one of the best beaches in Cyprus and definitely my favorite beach in the Ayia Napa area. Here’s a complete guide on how to get there as well as more information about Makronissos Beach and its facilities.

The beaches on the east side of the island are known for its incredible turquoise water and fine golden-white sand, but Makronissos beach takes this to a whole new level. It has been awarded a blue flag status and is considered as one of the finest beaches in Europe.

In contrary to nearby Nissi Beach, which is also beautiful, Makronissos Beach is actually quieter, have better water quality, and offer you the best out of two worlds.

It’s a popular beach, but it’s not overcrowded, and yet you will have access to watersports as well as a beach bar/restaurant where you can order food and drinks.

The sunbeds are also closer to the water. The price is the same with €2.50 per sunbed and €2.50 for an umbrella. If you’re a company of four people, it would be a total of €10 if you want 2 sunbeds and 2 umbrellas.
