Pan Pacific Singapore is situated within walking distance to Marina Bay and other famous areas in the city. We stayed here for our two first nights while visiting Singapore, and here you can read all about our stay and what to expect while staying here as a guest!
Standard (Studio Harbour)
The room type we stayed in was a Studio Harbour, which features a panoramic view of the Marina Bay. This must be one of the best views and it’s incredible both in daytime and night when everything lit up.
So, if you stay at Pan Pacific hotel in Singapore, make sure to book a room facing Marina Bay, and the higher floors. The studio harbor offered everything you could want for a nice hotel stay. In addition to a great view, we could also enjoy a spacious bathroom with separated toilet and shower, as well as a nice King-size bed and armchair next to it.
If you’re like us and need a place to work from, then you’ll be delighted of their comfy desktop chair and desktop with plenty of space for a larger laptop and accessories. If I had to mention one negative aspect about the room, it would probably be the pillows, but that’s also a matter of taste, and I’m sure they will have alternatives if you just ask.
For me, I’m not too picky, but I prefer more fluffy pillows rather than harder ones. But overall It’s a great room to stay in as a couple or solo traveler.
This is what you get when booking a Studio Harbour

- View of Marina Bay

- Mini-bar

Breakfast
If you’re staying at Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore and have access to their lounge club on the 38th floor, make sure to enjoy the breakfast from there as well. First of all, it’s nicely decorated and displayed, and all of the staff is super friendly. The breakfast itself is also nice with lots of variations.
You’ll also be offered different styles of egg, such as egg benedict or scrambled eggs and so on. Along with this, you can enjoy fresh juices, yogurt, salmon and fresh-baked bread.
On top of that, you can also enjoy a magnificent view with options to get 360 degrees panoramic view of the city. It sure is a lovely start of the day.
For those who want more options, you can enjoy main breakfast area. However we didn’t try this as we had access to the amazing executive lounge, so we just had a quick look to see what was offered. The staff here was friendly and accommodating as well, and everything looked nice.
It also had more variations to choose from, but again, the breakfast view from the 38th floor is unbeatable, so it was a no-brainer to eat there both of our nights. However, don’t be too disappointed if you’re not having access to their executive lounge. The breakfast downstairs looked very good as well.
Outside the room
So, what about the interior and vibe outside the room? Pan Pacific Singapore is actually a rather big hotel accommodating lots of people at the same time, so of course, there are options to choose from.
There are several restaurants available as well as bars, gym or spa. Next to the hotel lies also a shopping center with walking connection from the hotel area. The details are also kind of cool, and you can actually get some nice photos just by walking inside the hotel.
Another good one is the outdoor elevator featuring a cool experience from the future. Downstairs in the lobby is also a nice sitting area with pod-like booths.
Restaurants
As mentioned above, there are several choices for restaurants within the Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore, such as Cantonese food, Indian food, Japanese food as well as a tapas bar and small marketplace with sandwiches, salad, and pastries.
We only had time to try the Chinese restaurant Hai Tien Lo, which serves Cantonese style food. We tried 5 dishes, and they were all delicious and interesting, especially since the Chinese food in Europe is so different.
This was high-class food with lots of flavors, and of course accompanied with traditional tea. Drinking tea while eating was something new to me, but I liked it and I’m glad we had some tea along the courses.
So, I would highly recommend eating at Hai Tien Lo for a unique and lovely dining experience in a traditional setting. For other visitors that aren’t staying at the Pan Pacific hotel Singapore as well. It’s a nice restaurant and personally, I wouldn’t mind eating there even though I were staying at another hotel.
Staff
From Check-in to Check-out and in-between our breakfasts the staff at Pan Pacific Singapore was helpful and greeted everyone with a smile. Down in the reception was always someone ready to help. The same goes at the pickup spot just outside the entrance.
The cleaning personnel were also friendly and said hello while passing in the corridors.
WiFi
Wi-Fi will always be important for me as long as I work remotely. But I have no complaints here at Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore and it worked well throughout the whole hotel property.
Location
The location for Pan Pacific Singapore is great. You’re close to everything yet remain in a calm area. The hotel is within walking distance to Marina Bay and 20 minutes walking to Arab Street. Of course, you can also get picked up by an UBER or Grab as well as taking the local bus and metro.
As mentioned previously, the hotel is connected with the shopping center called Marina Square.
Summary of my stay at Pan Pacific Singapore
Overall I would definitely recommend others to stay at Pan Pacific Singapore. We had a great stay, and we had everything we could possibly ask for within the hotel. Gym, Pool, Great views, restaurants and friendly staff.
There are not really any cons either and I think Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore offers great value for the money while visiting Singapore! And again, don’t forget to choose a room on the higher floors facing the Marina Bay!
