Chateau Mcely in the Czech Republic - Hotel Review by Swedish Nomad

A few weeks ago, Me and Christine made a quick drive through in the Czech Republic. Our last night was spent at the beautiful Chateau Mcely, which is a Luxury Residence located in Central Bohemia.

It’s just a short drive from Prague, about 1 hour, and less than that from Kutna Hora. Chateau Mcely has a focus on wellness and is a great place for a romantic getaway or a nice family vacation.

Room Standard (Luxury Suite)

During our stay, we had the pleasure to stay in the Southern Seas Suite, which is in the luxury suite category. It’s a spacious and elegant suite with beautiful interior and details. The bed was comfortable and the view over the garden was great.

Breakfast

In the Theatre Hall, every morning a breakfast buffet is being served where you can find smoked salmon, yogurt, fresh mozzarella, bread, some veggies, scrambled eggs. In addition to the breakfast buffet, for a small extra fee, you can also order freshly made breakfast dishes from the kitchen.

Dinner

Most guests will also have dinner at Chateau Mcely, and it can be served in either the theatre hall, terrace or if you’re there on a romantic occasion it’s possible to have a private dining experience as well with lit candles.

Christine and I had the dinner in the theatre hall, which is also quite romantic with live piano music and lit candles. We enjoyed a three-course meal, and since we’re both vegetarians we chose their vegetarian options.

The dinner was great, and the service and atmosphere were nice too.

Outside The Room

So, while you have an amazing room, I will still encourage you to go outside the room. There are plenty of things to do around here. For example, you can do meditation in the meditation area, relax by the pool, go for Sauna, just sit outside and enjoy the greenery and scenery.

Or why not go for a drink at the terrace. If you’re coming here with kids, they’ll also have plenty of things to do. There’s even a small playground, just a short walk from the Chateau. And where you have breakfast and dinner, in the theatre hall, the kids have their own corner with crayons and toys.

Chateau Mcely Spa

A couple of hours before we checked out from the hotel, we got ourselves a massage down at their Spa. It was a relaxing full-body massage and foot scrub. At the Spa of Chateau Mcely, they make their own products, which are also being used for the treatments.

For those who wish, you can also buy their spa-products. If you’re staying a few days it’s also possible to get some testers after your treatment.

Down by the Spa, there’s also a Sauna that you can book, and next to the treatment room you can go for a swim and relax by the outdoor pool.

Staff

The staff at Chateau Mcely is great and very professional. If you need something, you can count on their help, and they also make sure that you have a pleasant experience. From the reception to waiters, masseuses and the maids all held the standard that you can expect at a luxury residence like Chateau Mcely.

WiFi

The Wi-Fi at Chateau Mcely works great throughout the hotel. I tried it in our suite, by the reception, spa area, and the restaurant. However, I would recommend to not use it as much since that will take away the tranquil experience a bit.

But if you need Wi-Fi, you can be sure that it works great.

Summary Of Our Stay At Chateau Mcely

I would say that we had a great stay at Chateau Mcely, and I’m happy to come back here another time. All in all, it’s a beautiful Chateau with luxury and wellness in focus. The dining experience was both romantic and pleasant with great food and wine.

The staff is attentive and help you quickly if you need anything. The suites are fantastic and you’ll definitely feel like a royal when staying here. The calm and lush surroundings make it a great place to relax as well.

Both me and Christine thought that the massage was great and the masseuses were very friendly and professional.

Can I Recommend You To Stay Here?

Yes, if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in a luxurious and royal setting, then Chateau Mcely is a great choice. Even though our stay was short, I’m sure it’s enjoyable for longer periods as it’s located in such a calm and beautiful location.

The interior is very elegant and I would also like to recommend the Spa.
