My name is Alex Waltner, also known as Swedish Nomad. I’m a Professional Travel Blogger and Photographer from Sweden who have been traveling around the world since 2013.

I started to share my passion for traveling and to inspire others to explore the world as well. My vision is to help and make it easier for others to travel by providing valuable travel tips and guides from my experiences.

I’m looking forward to showcase our beautiful planet and help you to travel more, cheaper and better. We only have one life, and it’s far too short to just stay in one place your whole life.

Swedish Nomad

My travel blog now sees more than half a million unique readers per month. It offers information about countries and destinations worldwide. In addition to practical travel tips, I also share interesting facts about countries and other fun stuff.

I describe my travel blog as a presentation of our world, from my point of view. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, use the search function to find articles about particular destinations and topics.

The blog is divided into several categories, for example, Destinations, Food, Travel Tips, and Inspiration.

In addition to travel topics, I also write about languages as well as animals and nature, which are listed under “Around the World“.

These topics lie close to my heart, and ever since I was a little kid, I’ve had a big interest in the world as a whole.

Travel Inspiration

Destinations is one of the most read travel blogs in Europe. It’s currently available in English and Swedish.

My travel blog has a big focus on user-friendly travel guides that are detailed and easy-to-read. All guides are written from my own experiences where I share tips and other useful information before youre trip.

I’m an avid traveler, and as a reader you can expect an exciting mix of destinations and articles.

With my travel blog, I also hope to encourage and connect our world. Meeting people from different countries and cultures is incredibly rewarding.

We have a lot more in common with other people than what some choose to believe. To travel is one of the best educations in the world, which is something that I’ve learned after several years on foot as a digital nomad. Despite different languages and cultures, it’s easy to make connections.

I went on my first global adventure as a 20 year old, and it changed my life. Traveling as a backpacker is something that I think everyone should do at least once. It makes you humble and teaches you how to deal with money. At the same time, you will also encounter setbacks and successes.

And it’s never to late to explore the world. I have met many people in their 40’s, 50’s, and even those over 65 who have decided to travel around the world. In today’s society, it’s easier than ever to work from home or while traveling. That is also something you can read more about on my blog.
